A small nonprofit organization doing enormous work, Health Ministries for Haiti has a direct impact on the community we serve.

Since it is typically very difficult to qualify for federal grants for the type of work we do — primarily providing operational support for workers on the ground in Haiti — we rely almost entirely on private donations and sponsorships to help us improve the lives of our Haitian brothers and sisters.

Without the generous support of people like you, our organization simply wouldn’t be able to exist.

Economic Assistance is Vital Assistance

Our years of hands-on experience have taught us that what the people of Haiti need most — more than food donations, used clothing, or anything else — is economic assistance as they work toward creating a sustainable future.

All donations are used to directly support Health Ministries for Haiti, Inc., activities, the purchasing of medications, and the provision of basic and long-term infrastructural needs.

Three Ways to Provide Support

C.A.R.E.

Two years after the devastating earthquake, much of the rubble has been cleared, crisp new vibrant red and blue flags fly with pride and Haitians reverberate hope for better days to come. Yet significant challenges lie ahead. In response to the ongoing needs, Health Ministries for Haiti, Inc. is launching the CARE fund. The CARE fund will allow HMH to help support our affiliate in Haiti, Foundation Good Samaritan in Action, build for the future while meeting the needs of today. Construction is underway for a new clinic facility designed to meet the standards set by the Haitian Ministry of Health. In the meantime, FGSA doctors and nurses see patients on a daily basis and community health workers provide education and outreach. One easy click of the “Donate Now” tab and your contribution demonstrates to the people of Haiti that we still care! Donations to the CARE fund support 4 key areas:

• Clinic: Includes new construction and as well as ongoing expenses of the current facility such as: electricity, Internet.
• Access: Contributions to CARE assure that residents continue to have access to
  life saving medications and medical care.
• Response: Allows HMH to respond to unexpected emergencies like the 2008 flooding, 2010 earthquake and ongoing cholera outbreak.
• Employment: Allows HMH to supplement Haitian clinic staff salaries in times of
  economic crisis such as following the 2010 earthquake.

House of Jesus’ Children:

The future of Haiti begins with the children of Haiti. By helping us provide a loving home, immediate and ongoing medical care, and essential education to children whose families are unable to do so themselves, your monthly gift of $40 provides for daily nutrition, preventive medical care, and fulfillment of acute medical needs, making a direct impact on the lives of Haitian children.
